Before I begin, I would first make it clear that it doesn’t really matter to me- if he was born in U.S. or not. If he is a good president, I guess this should be enough.

Ok so now, what’s the deal with his birth certificate? I’m sure you all already know what the controversy is about, but in case you don’t, here it is:

To be the president of U.S., you need to fulfill these 3 criteria:

You must be 35 years old
You must have stayed in the U.S. for 14 years
You must be born in U.S.

Now apparently, Obama did not pass the 3rd criteria and that’s where the whole problem lies. He is not showing his valid birth certificate and people say that he wasn’t born in the U.S. and thus he is not eligible to be the president. If this is true, then it is a criminal offense. I have nothing against Obama and I think he is a great president, but law is law and if people want to see his birth certificate, I think there is nothing wrong in producing it in front of the public.

I also say that the true patriot is an informed voter. If Obama is taking U.S on the right path, there is no reason to go against him, but then- it’s just a birth certificate. Show it and get it over with. The birth certificate case is not a very big one, but there are 2 major inconsistencies that have caught my eye.

White House released a birth certificate of Obama that lists his birth as 4 Aug 1961. It says that his father is Barack Hussein Obama. Well that’s not a big deal. Anyway, it says that his father at that time was 25 years of age and was born in Kenya. This shouldn’t be a big deal either, except that Kenya didn’t exist till 1963. How can Obama senior be born in a place that did not exist?

The second thing that bugged me was that the certificate said Obama Jr was born in Kapi'olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital. Now the hospital we are talking about was actually not one, but two hospitals- back in 1961. They were Kapi'olani Maternity Home and KauiKeolani Children's Hospital. These two hospitals merged in 1978 to form one single hospital- the one that is mentioned in Obama’s birth certificate. How could he be born in a hospital that didn’t exist?

I think when the government forges stuff; they don’t really hire intelligent people for that. And they don’t do their research well either.
