UFO on White House Christmas Card a Hoax?

Posted: Dec 22, 2011 by thesecondcoming

Stories and images of the Obama families Christmas Card has been doing the rounds on the internet in the last few days showing a picture of the Whitehouse with an object in the sky. On closer examination the object is a UFO.

The card was allegedly sent to a woman named Dawn in South Dakota who posted the image on the internet with a close up of a shining light in the sky in the background of the card. Many people claimed the card to be a hoax and suggested the recipients son who is attending film school was the architect of the card.

However, more people have come forward claiming to have received the same card including a Mr Sunny Azrile of New Mexico who posted this message on to one blog that was covering the news – and were one of the leading voices calling it a hoax.

"A few days ago I, too, received a holiday greeting card from the Obama family. To be frank, I didn't notice anything strange about it until I saw your post THEN I looked at the card I had received, and, OMG, there's the UFO!!!!! The Yiddish word 'Farklempt' (overwhelmed) comes to mind :o) However, it seems to me that the UFO in the card I received is farther away from the White House than the one you posted below and I'd love your take on this."

In answer to your question, Mr Azrile, the reason for your UFO being further away from the Whitehouse than the one on the card sent to Dawn of South Dakota is probably because the card is a fake and not officially distributed by the US President and his family.

A quick Google search of “official White House Christmas Card,” brings up an image of a living room with a dog lying in front of a fire decorated with tinsel and other festive paraphernalia. In fact, the card is in the news because Sarah Palin criticized the fact that the card focuses on Bo, the Obama pet yet doesn´t mention the word Christmas.

The hive of internet activity surrounding the surfacing of the UFO card is another prime example of the world going UFO crazy because people are so convinced that Earth is being visited by aliens and that the global authorities are covering up the visitations. It´s only a matter of time before we start hearing stories of alien invasions.

Yet, if the ancient alien theory is to be believed and people were not so dense and irrational they would realize everything UFO related in a hoax and there is no threat to us or our planet from extraterrestrials. If there was it would surely have happened by now – given that the first reports of aliens visiting earth occurred in Sumeria around 8000 years ago.

Well, I know this may shake you up a bit...but, I got the same card with the same UFO on it.  It was paid for by the Democratic National Committee (I contributed to Obama's campaign).  The photographer acknowledged on the backside is Pete Souza. It is a genuine card.  Not a fake.  sbehmke@aol.com
