The creation of life on Earth is perhaps the biggest unsolved mystery for the human race to fathom. Most people have at some point questioned where we came from. Every culture has its own creation story, but since the Catholic Church slaughtered and destroyed hundreds of civilizations only a handful of theories – and you might argue knowledge – exists. Until recently, those of us in the west were presented with just two theories: God and Evolution.

The British scientist Charles Darwin expressed an idea of evolution which describes the gradual change of traits living organisms undergo over long periods of time. Though he was able to successfully relate these changes to the environment, he was not able to produce biological proof that the cells of humans were spawned from apes, and modern day scientists have not found evidence to prove his theory right. In fact, there is not just one missing link to Darwin´s theory, there are hundreds - yet it is mysteriously taught as an exact science in English schools. What does the education system want to teach our children I wonder!

History and common sense tells any rational person that the world was not made in seven days around 6000 years ago as the Bible and Catholic Church (again) would have us believe. That´s not to say that religion should be ignored and forgotten, but as a factual creation story it is way off the mark. Or is it?

The stories in the Bible and other religions are predominantly metaphorical, but through the works of researchers such as Zecharia Sitchin and Lloyd Pye among others, the Bible creation story could actually be referring to the visitation of the Anunnaki who came from the planet Niburu and founded the first advanced civilization in Sumeria, Mesopotamia.

According to researchers, Niburu was the 10th planet that has since been discovered in some ancient astronomical manuscripts found in Sumeria. It is believed that around 7500 years ago Niburu collided with another planet and smashed into smithereens resulting in the asteroid belt that circumnavigates the solar system beyond Jupiter. The inhabitants of Niburu, the Annunaki went in search of another planet to live on and discovered Earth which at the time was inhabited by Neanderthal man.

Given the inhabitants of Earth were primitive the Anunnaki injected them with alien DNA to recreate a race “in their image and after their likeness,” - just as it describes in the Bible. This is where we get the idea of God, or as it was in ancient times before the Catholic Church (again) introduced a monolithic religion, Gods.

Of course, we only have the word of a handful of researchers that are capable of reading Sumerian texts and because of the specialist knowledge they are in a position to make up any old cock and bull story like the scribes of Genesis, despite the story of Adam and Eve having similar rings of a DNA metaphor. The tree of knowledge and the snake are both esoteric symbols and the double helix of DNA resembles the same likeness as the serpents wrapped around the tree of knowledge as depicted in several works of religious art including Dellia Robba´s impression of Adam and Eve whereby the snake wrapped around the tree is a spit of Eve.

But the reason for the theory presented by Sitchin and Co. is more due to the fact that in over 100,000 years primitive man produced virtually nothing other than flint spears and fire, but then went from building the first (allegedly) civilized city using advanced technology in 5,500 BCE to knocking up the pyramids at Giza 3000 years later. There is also evidence of advanced agricultural techniques that suddenly appeared as opposed to showing some degree of evolution.

So the evidence presented to us by Sitchin and the ancient alien series presented in the History Channel appears to want us to believe that humankind was made from an alien race, presumably meaning we are an alien race in comparison to ancient primitive man. What they don´t explain is why the Pyramids of Giza have never been replicated, why advanced space technology in Tiwanaku in northern Bolivia is present yet barely talked about by mainstream scientists and why Kobleki Tepi in Turkey pre-dates Mesopotamia by about 15,000 years.

First of all the dates don´t add up. If aliens are visited in 5,500 BCE, how can Kobleki Tepi have been built in around 21,000 BCE. Nor does the logic weigh up. If the Egyptians were capable of building the Great Pyramids of Giza, why was the same technology not used for later pyramids instead of the dilapidated shamble most of them appear to be. And nor is possible to achieve the expert degree of stonemasonry found at Tiwanaku with andesite rocks.

There are as many arguments against the ancient alien theory as there are for them, but because of that we should also keep an open mind of the new theory that is being presented to us in relation to the creation story. After all, we have been lied to twice. Why should we think this story is any different!?
