UFO Reykawvik Summit

Posted: Mar 20, 2011 by Emily

From nuclear weapons to mysterious cattle deaths to alien abductions, there were many interesting topics that were covered at the UFO Reykawvik Summit.

UFO-ologists, or UFO experts from across the nation gathered at the Liberty Hall at 644 Mass for a 3-day discussion related to the extraterrestrial at this event managed by Daniel Lauing, a Lawrence resident.

According to Lauing, there is a great need for UFO awareness and knowledge of alien life forms. This is the time when people should know that these things exist and are among us. Lauing addressed a gathering of about 150 people. He said that the first speaker, Butch Witkowski, would cover some controversial points.

Lauing said, “This is hot potato. Nobody wants to touch this,” as he turned over to Witkowski, the director of Pennsylvania UFO Research Center.

Witkowski gave a presentation that included gruesome photos and focused on incidents related to dead animals and humans. These include cases of animals that were injured in mysterious ways- ways that suggest that some supernatural powers were involved in abduction and experimentation.

According to Witkowski, the truth motivated him to investigate UFO sightings and to find the reality behind abductions, and the paranormal.

He said that he was impressed by the knowledge shown by audience who asked intelligent questions. The event was a great prospect for the people living in the area to get together and investigate to find the truth.

I went to a UFO convention once in LA and there were few people whom I would consider "credible" in attendance. Mostly fanatics, religious zealots and kooks. Sad really...
