Aliens are considered to be extraterrestrial life forms. Extraterrestrial is comprised of two Latin words, “Extra” meaning not of or beyond, and “Terrestris” meaning of the earth. Literally translated, the word means life that is not from the earth. Aliens are considered to be organisms that live in other locations within our solar system, and are often considered to be much more intelligent than human life forms.

There have been a wide number of reports of people spotting alien life forms, or encountering extraterrestrial beings. Some of the locations that may be home to other life forms include other planets such as Mars and Venus, the moons of Jupiter, the moons of Saturn, and extra solar planets that have recently been discovered. In May of this year, NASA scientists reported that one moon of Saturn, Enceladus, is becoming a habitable spot beyond Earth that life could survive on in the solar system.

Claims of alien life forms have only become more plentiful as people report sightings of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) that cannot otherwise be explained. Even though scientists dismiss many of these claims, and some reports are able to be explained away as more common objects or illusions, the fact of the matter is there are still some reports that simply cannot be dismissed.
