The term “New World Order”, also referred to as NWO, has to do with the materialization of a one world government that is totalitarian in nature.

The main idea surrounding a New World Order is that there is some type of elite power that is working in private with a globalist agenda in order to take over the world and rule it through a one, controlling world power. This new world would replace all of the nation states that are now sovereign.

Especially with the recent developments in finances and politics all over the world, there has been more speculation than ever before about this new order, and many assert it may be already operating through other organizations posing as fronts. This speculation has only been further backed up through a high number of current and historical events that are viewed as steps in the process of the plot to achieve world domination through various decision making processes and political gatherings.

Before the early 1990s, the thought of a New World Order society was mainly found amongst two countercultures of the American public which included the anti-government right, and the fundamentalist Christians. Today, these theories are embraced by many other people, and have even crept into modern day popular culture. This sentiment is being noticed more and more, and some people are concerned that it could lead to a change in political life forever in America, as well as a government alienation that could promote bouts of internal terrorism.
