Karma may be the eastern religions' counterpart to The Golden Rule (Do not do unto others...blah blah), I think. There are exceptions to the rule of course. For me, I live by it. It has served me well in making sure that I live harmoniously with the people around me. It keeps my bratty-ness controlled. It's nice to send myself a reminder once in a while to empathize with others and to be the bigger person.
