Something to think about is that the idea of reincarnation implies that a person continues to be reborn over and over again after they die. In some religions this is supposed to be a lesson in human growth and in others there is punishment involved. Basically if you lived a proper life by "someone's" standard you have a better chance to achieve your "nirvana" or enlightenment, or whatever you want to call it in your next life. But what about those who don't live good lives according to the standard? According to some ideas they are born into lower castes which make it so that there is no chance of reaching their destiny in their lifetime. Indeed some are reborn as lesser beings like animals or even plants according to some. My question is, Once the human race has depleted this planet of its resources, thus rendering it unsustainable for life, what happens then? What happens when the earth can no longer support the lives of the women who give birth to these reincarnated people? Do the ones who haven't achieved their "enlightenment" or "nirvana" exist in a state of limbo or something? A constant state of death? The deeper we look into things, the more we see that every way of thinking has its heaven and its hell in one way or another, so to speak. It seems more and more that without a personal, sovereign God, there is no logic and reason behind humanity.
