Are you pro life or pro choice? I beleive in the choice. But I really wish in my heart that abortion was illegal unless its rape or the mothers health is at stake. I say this because I had an abortion in 1977. I have always regretted it. I know I am not making sense here. Lots of people want a baby and if everyone who wanted an abortion gave up the baby to adoption instead there would not be such a long wait to get a newborn.

you should be able to abort a pregnancy if you want to, why bring a baby into a fucked up family

Well, I'm pro-choice however it sickens me the way some women abuse the policy. I've known girls that use abortion as birth control and that's just messed up. Now, of course the situations of rape and all that should be allowed. Unfortunately, it has to be an all or nothing stance. If we instituted a policy of only allowing certain cases, then who would try those cases? The court systems? The baby would be born before the case ever made it's way through. So, it has it's down sides, but abortion must be fully legal.

I agree 100% some girls abuse it, which sucks, but it still has to be legal. Abortion should NEVER be birth control. I can't believe how some girls have had an abortion like 5+ times, it is disgusting. I think it also makes your chances of ever having a baby, and not a still birth, ect, more and more unlikely the more abortions you have...

Ya when it comes to this i think everyone wants to say only use it in extreme cases like rape, but on this subject i think it has to be all or none

there is never a right answer here.. girls who are raped, how can u blame them? at the same time, i agree with truthy when he looks at the fact that some girls use it as a form of birth control which is far beyond wrong

There is other forms of birth control women can use, these are usualy effective enough, women who use abortion as a form of birth control however? I do NOT agree with that, although i am pro-choice.

The problem is that the government has no right in telling us what we can and can't do to our bodies, and this leads to many woman abusing the right to choose. However the main instance of abortion is among teenage mothers or the extremely impoverished and there is no sound argument against ending these type of pregnancies. The occurences of women using abortion as birth control is absolutely rare, and there exists serious risks to the woman's health and future health of babies so she is only damaging her ownself.

Dumb. of course people will still do stupid things that hurt them but you can't eliminate it all together for the actions of a very small percentage of the peoples actions... I guess we better outlaw box cutters because some people chose to hijack a plane with them, or marbles because some people use them to vandalize buildings

I'm somewhat pro choice. I'm a chick. Hell, I'll even admit I had an abortion as a teenager. I wouldn't ever do it again as it was something that kinda forever fucks your head up, but I still think women should have the right to choose.

What does bother me are women who make such decisions without first talking to their partners about it. I think the men should have an equal say in the matter.

I actually hate that a lot about the whole pregnancy process... everything is the girls choice, yes they have to carry it and have it, but i mean it still is totally half the guys child and he should definitely be JUST as involved in every decision. A lot of guys would carry it if they could so their wife didn't have to i'm sure.... not that im volunteering :D

I agree, as a male, I feel like when my wife was pregnant i really had no choice in ANYTHING and everyone kind of made me feel like i had nothing to do with it, which is obviously not the case haha

she has to carry it and somehow push it out, i still dont know how thats possible lol but yes i agree that although she faces the physical pain, that has to be 9 months of pure mental stressing on the man, has to take a lot out of u, definite choice for both parties involved

Fair point...BUT why get pregnant in the 1st place??

The reason as to WHY I state this, is because of the people out there who would give anything to be a parent, but can't....surely would LOVE to adopt a child....I at one point actually believed that was the route Gary and I had to go because we kept failing to get pregnant and that itself was a depressing time!!!

Another reason is..if a woman has unprotected sex and feels she is at risk and never had the sense to use any form of protection..then for the love of annie at least get the morning after pill...with that you have up to3 days to put a stop to it before it's too late ....trust me when you know you have had unprotected sex then you KNOW you have put yourself at risk...BEEN THERE.....DONE IT!!(many moons ago)

Reasons why I am also for it...there are times when it can be a life or death situation...medical issues that can be fatal..and a lot of mothers hate the thoughts of it but as heartbreaking as it is...they have no choice but to either take the risk or abort...that I do understand

I lost a child once...therefore I know how hard it must be for any mother to have to make such a decision...

I am pro-life. I think there are many options out there to prevent a pregnancy. Just go to the corner drugstore and there are all sorts of condoms for sale, along with other methods of birth control. If he doesn't want to wrap his rascal, then the rascal shouldn't be allowed to play!
I think the morning after pill should be available so people who made a mistake or were raped would have the option.

Morning after pill is good but not 100%, what if a girl that got raped took it and still is pregnant?

Morning after pill is good but not 100%, what if a girl that got raped took it and still is pregnant?

The chances of that is very slim...and something you may not know -> there is only 2-3 days of the month that a woman can fall pregnant...I found that out when I kept failing to get pregnant, I used to think if you have unprotected sex like...thats it BINGO...frankly it's not as easy as that!!
Reason being, if a rape victim is being treated at the local hospital..the doctors do clean her out and im sure give her something to prevent it...
Many rape victims avoid going to a doctor and in fact avoid telling anyone...then later find they are pregnant

A crime as serious as rape is hard to deal with...not everyone reports it..unfortunately!!...some can't bare the thoughts of having a child that came from her attacker...this is understandable...others however will believe it isn't the babys fault and keep it!!
The only way the morning pill cannot work is if you throw it up after taking it...but I have yet to hear of it not working

Morning after pill...I have taken it 3 times myself...it worked for me lol..(back when I didn't want kids with my partner)..I know there is only a couple of days within the month you can get pregnant..but I wasn't for taking that risk!!

isn't it funny, or sad rather, that people who WANT to have a baby have a hard time or can't at all, and then there are so many ACCIDENTS that result in a pregnancy???

Yea..I call it irony!!!LOL

What I hate is when people say - "Well if it was meant to be, it was meant to be"..!
When I lost my 1st child..I heard that a lot and I was so pissed off....for if it were not meant to be then I wouldnt have gotten pregnant in the 1st place!!!

They call it an act of God..well if it IS an act of God..then god has a sick sense of humour...lets you get pregnant after all the hard trying to get there...and either waits for a few months..while you fill with the excitement of becoming a parent for the 1st time..then POW it's gone.....or allows you to go the full term and the baby is a still born...way to really knock the heart out of you!!..yea too clever!!!...Meanwhile a bunch of no good drug addicts and wino's get to have kids all over the joint and sponge off the goverment!!

 lol

A lot of those shows are staged!!

But those who arent staged and a child is born not knowing who it's father is all because the mom was such a dirty sk**K (excuse the french)...that child I sure do pitty!!!

then again on the other hand you have single moms that do much better on their own with the kid...For I've read one too many child abuse stories to last me a life time...recently in 2 parts in the UK..2 little girls - one aged 4 and the other aged 3..were brutally beaten to death by parents / step parents

the 4 yr old was beaten to death by her mother and her boyfriend...it was sad watching it all on the news

the 3yr old was beaten to death for over 45 mins by her step father..all because she peed her pants...he made her stand in the corner for an hour to punish her...then took her for a spanking..that soon lead to being beaten for over 45 mins while her mother watched...she then died

People like these allowed to have kids...funny how you didn't hear others say - Well it was meant to be!!!!!!!

I'm pro-choice but i think the mother should be warned of the after affects of having an abortion and the time limit being brought down to the point that the baby hasn't developed nerves and so can't feel the pain (having watched a video of an abortion its quite a gruesome thing).

It is still a living being and as kidflash said their are more than enough ways to try and prevent it and yes there is still a risk of something going wrong but it's a part of sex well it's the point of sex.
