Are there any recommendations for films relating to paranormal activity and strange happenings? I know Carrie cant REALLY count as that, I am looking for things that are more informational.

I thought it was pretty interesting, If you watch it on the site it has no commercials and takes like 20 min. I thought their 1st case was kind of boring, but their 2nd case that they investigate is pretty interesting. The show definitely has some potential

edit: if you go to the main page and do the search for UFO Hunters, all 5 parts will show up so you can just click through them

for those interested in spirits and demons, should watch constantine. it is about a priest called john constantine[played by keanu reeves] who is an exorcist. the film follows constantine into hell to rescue a suicide from the fires.

Ghost Hunters is the best paranormal show...I'm also starting to like Haunting. it's very different on how they go about it on that show, they just tell the story as it happened and don't investigate or anything like that.

For those who have yet to watch X-file: I want to believe, forget it. It is a terrible movie - the title should be changed to I want to sleep :)

I would recommend Paranormal State that include poltergeists and ghosts which I think is great.

I'll check out UFO Hunters, especially now I know it's on this site :D. I've watched Most Haunted and it's great, I recommend that to you ladycallie although, a lot of their earlier programs were faked, totally faked. They learned from their mistakes though and made it better. There's some genuine moments in there and it's all good!

Hmm.. I'll try looking that up. Have any of you guys watched the movie called 'The Secret'? A friend recommended it to me and I don't know if applies with psychic abilities. It's a documentary by the way. Just check it out on you tube.

Movies about paranormal events? I'm sure there are plenty but none or few that are documentary types. Blair Witch is as real as it gets. The trend now is remaking Asian horror movies -- which I have to say are predictable and I'm getting tired of the jolts. I do have favorites -- The Others and Sixth Sense.

Sixth Sense is for sure a classic

I like Devil's Advocate. I couldn't pass up a chance to see Keanu (as a lawyer) and Al Pacino (the devil himself) in a movie together. Plus of course, there's Charlize Theron in a breakout role. Keanu is asked to defend these lewd individuals. It makes you think about corruption and temptation in a different way.

If you liked Sixth Sense you'll like The Others with Nicole Kidman. Not a fan of Roland Emmerich but I kind liked Stargate. There's the Signs, The Haunting and more but for now, Sixth Sense tops them all.

Froix, I'm so glad you mentioned Stargate. There isn't enough appreciation for that movie. I've named it in my top 5 favorite movies in all genres. It vastly explored the theory that aliens could have sparked civilization on earth. It was at that exact moment that I began my interest in aliens.

Stargate was released in the mid-1990s. It starred Kurt Russell and James Spader. The Stargate allows one to cross time and space. And of course, the two lead characters discover the gate which they use to go to a distant planet. If I continue, I'd be revealing too much so if you get a chance, watch it. ;)

If you are looking for online content:

World's Scariest Ghosts: Caught on Tape can be found everywhere. Usually it's in three or four parts due to the length of it (40 minutes), but I found a complete version at http://www.moviesfoundonline.com/worlds_scariest_ghosts.php

Here's a pretty interesting clip as well http://www.realghostvideos.net/hosted/54/ghost-woman-looking-down.html

If you are looking for movies/DVD's I agree with pretty much everyone else that's posted so far...The Sixth Sense, The Others, Devil's Advocate, Constantine and the Ninth Gate are pretty good. I also enjoyed Silent Hill.

As far as TV Shows go, I rate Ghost Hunters at the top and Most Haunted at the bottom. Paranormal State has had a surprisingly good season so far and Ghost Hunters International has had a surprisingly bad season so far.

Did I take up enough space?

That is one creepy girl. From the cover, I'm guessing that that's a poltergeist. Is that right, truthed? So how was the movie?
