Here's an interesting topic:
Many religious doctrines, prophesies, and psycics of the past have implied a being of evil making himself manifest in humanity in the "end times" to deceive the masses, make war, and ultimately usher in the end of this age. According to most accounts, this will be a man of great influence who rises to power politically on a platform of peace and diplomacy. This will be a man who everyone likes, a charismatic charmer of the nations who speaks eloquently wonderful things so that humanity marvels at him. This one should be successful at making peace in the world initially, then later show his fangs as an evil one after he's convinced enough people that he can do no wrong.
I'm interested to know: Does anyone know of anyone living today who might fit that description? Do we have any prime canidates walking among us now? What are your thoughts on this matter? If these prophesies are legitimate, do you know the signs to look for in such a person? I'm excited to hear your responses!

Whoever it is, I'm sure it's not Barack Obama. McCain's ad was done in poor taste. I think that it intentionally wanted to portray Obama in that light. To answer your question, I doubt that the antichrist will be a product of U.S. politics.

It would be hard for it to be anyone in the U.S Politics because they can be voted out of power at anytime. Some of the leaders over in the middle east make me wonder though... Perhaps someone the US backed at one time when they were "good" then showed their true "fangs"

The antichrist is someone who possesses immense power and is perceived by the world to be a good man. I've heard of theories that it would be Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin. In the book of Revelation, allied with the antichrist would be a Red Dragon (Red China) and a Green Dragon (Muslim Iran).

and have the keys of hell and death."

Russia crushed Georgia like putty with hardly a response from the West. If that's not power, I don't know what is. The latest update on this is the news that Russia is considering arming its Baltic fleet with nuclear warheads. Russia is now threatening the other European countries with a nuclear strike for having offered to create a joint missile defense network with western countries.

If the antichrist is perceived to be a good man then it can't be Osama Bin Laden. Who it could be however is the Pope. What better mask than the leadership of the Catholic Church to hide his true destiny. No offense meant okay, I've long felt that the Catholic Church is not all it's made out to be. The leaders themselves conspired to hide sexual abuses committed by its priests. And the pope has this sinister aura about him that I can't explain.

I'm Catholic and the Pope gives me the creeps. I laugh about it with my Catholic friends but I'm going to stake my life on it though, he is not the anti-christ. The Pope is a holy man. The conspiracy movies have muddled people's brains.

Well, because I´m not a religious person, I don´t belive in anti-christ and all that, but I have to admit that it is pretty interesting how many theories there are about all that.
