The CIA and FBI usually recruit at colleges. Does any young person listen to the radio anymore? It seems like a waste of money to advertise on a dying format.

There are pod casts, satellite radio with many channels that have no ads, and other outlets for listening to music. Satellite radio alone has over a hundred channels now. Many people do not like their music interrupted by obnoxious DJs. I am one of them, so I rarely listen to the radio. Radio does well with talk shows and country, not the demographic that the CIA and FBI would recruit from. Talk radio has an older skewing audience, and country does not have too many college graduates. Most of the college graduates either use satellite or computer for their listening habits. I knew a lot of university students, and they did not listen to their own stations.
Radio will always be around, but not as the dominant format it once was. |
