"Baton charges and kettling: police's G20 crowd control tactics under fire"
Essentially, kettling is the police tactic of ignoring violent protesters in any given demonstration (the minority) to focus upon the passive majority. The aim being to split up the body of the crowd so that the violent minority dissipate. ![]() Quote:
So... this is an example of the UK Police "kettling" technique.... While Chavs and Pikeys were smashing windows and the police were ignoring that fact, this is what they were doing to the hippies: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqAhOWJfGYY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJqQAr4yQjQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gnm2l-bIeA Outrageous isn't it? (ignore the annoying cockney who is narrating in the last vid, I'd twat him myself)..... However, in short...... If you search online for G20 police brutality, there is lots out there...... There are always two sides to every story, but in this instance (and is far too apparent these days) the pople with power tend to take the piss!!!! But, I have to say - on behalf of the 'establishment', that the rioters are calling for a communist state?! Do you think that they would have been allowed to protest in the first place if we were [a communist state]? It's all so complicated!
