Default A New Theory of the Universe

Quote:
Biocentrism

1. A scientific theory which posits the view that life creates the universe instead of the other way around. In this view, current theories of the physical world do not work, and can never be made to work, until they fully account for life and consciousness."

2. A point of view which centers on the value of non-human species, ecosystems and processes in nature, as opposed to anthropocentrism, a point of view which centers on the value of humans.

3. The belief that a transgender or transsexual person is not authentically of the gender they self-identify AS.

Science

Biocentrism can refer to the scientific position that life and consciousness form the basis of observable reality, and thereby the basis of the universe itself. The biocentric theory proposed by Robert Lanza builds on quantum physics by putting life into the equation. His theory places biology above the other sciences in an attempt to solve one of nature’s biggest puzzles: the theory of everything that other disciplines have been pursuing for the last century.
In biocentrism, space and time are forms of animal sense perception, rather than external physical objects. Understanding this more fully yields answers to several major puzzles of mainstream science, and offers a new way of understanding everything from the microworld (for instance, the reason for Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle and the double-slit experiment) to the forces, constants, and laws that shape the universe.
Above all, according to an article in Discover magazine “biocentrism offers a more promising way to bring together all of physics, as scientists have been trying to do since Einstein’s unsuccessful unified field theories of eight decades ago.”

Ecology

Biocentrism is often defined as the belief that all forms of life are equally valuable and that humanity is not the center of existence. Biocentric positions advocate a focus on the well-being of all life in the consideration of ecological, political, and economic issues. Biocentrism in this sense has been contrasted to anthropocentrism, which is the belief that human beings and human society are, or should be, the central focus of existence.

This is a fascinating theory that is way out of the mainstream. When one reads about the many different takes of this theory, it does make some sense.

just a quick note , i love this theory, i posted about a simaler subject in the dreams section , about a theory that everytime you dream your creating a new reality/universe somewhere that has to carry on , crazy thought but i thought i'd mention it again as it seems to fit ,

to me tho, the question about, how the universe came about? , it's just erelivant , it's like a snow ball , you may be able to someday answer wether or not there was a higher being , or beings that created our universe, but then you have to answer were they came from , so on and so on, it's like a snow ball is made of snow flakes , but finding the exact point of where the snow flake was formed ect , ect , it's a facinating question that can turn your brain to mush if you think about it to much lol!!!!

this is a well thought out theory, he must have been on some kind of drug. lol. With all the amazing theories out there about how life was created and how the universe came to be and where its going. Does any one else wonder why we keep looking to understand things out of our reach. Why dont we back track and figure out everything about the earth we live on, maybe that could eventually tell us more about the universe. For example, we have scientist that have studied planets light years away, but we still dont know for sure whats at the bottom of our oceans or exactly how deep the deepest part of it is. maybe this is off subject, but supposedly we have never made it through the crust of the earth, but some-how we know that the earth has a core made of iron, mantle, then crust (which is the thinnest layer). How do we know that, but not whats all in our ocean?
