This has been going around the internet for quite a while. I do think there may be something to it, and it is quite possible the ancient Egyptians did visit the Americas. They could have sailed up the Colorado river and found the area to put their treasures in. The question becomes why there?
The story itself is well written, however, many of the names are not confirmed. It was also quite common to have hoax stories printed to sell papers back then. Egyptology was quite popular at the time, as many of the jewelry and home decor was of ancient Egyptian style. I do think the story needs a good investigation done on it, and the area gone over by a researcher. However, I would not hold my breath that it is true. |
