I thought this story of a rook (related to the raven) was quite interesting:

It seems they can use tools very efficiently. These tests involved using stones to raise the water table so the rooks could get the worm.

There was another test a while back ago in which the rooks would bend a wire to a hook and use it to take food from a bottle. I think these birds may be the ones to look out for.
