The first rocky exosolar planet is found.
The first rocky exosolar planet has been found. The other planets so far have been gas giants, with others not known of their material. This is the first confirmed find of a rocky planet like the Earth.
http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science...y-planet_N.htm It is still very close to its star and orbits it less than one solar day. It is being referred to as the lava planet. This also may mean that all forms of planets are quite common throughout the Universe. |
