Lol. I'm glad I'm too old to trick or treat, no poison in my candy!

Idiocy they serve the goddess a mother earth Deity amongst a few others. They don't worship Lucifer Satanism is what you mean there.

I don't consider anyones faith an issue when i meet them and I'll respect it as much as the next persons, but ram it down my throat and I'll give you a hundred reasons why your faith is flawed.
very excellent post

As the saying goes, "Truth becomes heresy and ends as superstition". Faith is subjective and as such, cannot be judged by any other, than ones self.

Praise be to the Mother Goddess! I have never and will never make any kind of sacrifice of any living thing. They all have a right to be here, and there is no reason to make a sacrifice to any deity. I do love reading misconceptions about paganism, and especially love it when other religions refer to us as Satanists.

I think that in this materialistic world we have created, controlled by the reserve bank and the media, people are looking for more than what they can see... everyone is left with a deep sense that something is missing. Of course older people turn to country clubs and trying to become writers... younger people may approach this more immaturely and get into things like witchcraft or worship or something other. Of course as young people do they get caught up with what others are doing...next you have a trend. But it will probably soon pass. I think also the internet has a large part to play in this as well. But I'm no sociologist or expert in human behavior...
Lets not forget the 60's!

Mother Goddess worship is several hundred thousand years old. A carving of the Moon Goddess Diana was dated as 175,000 years old. The old beliefs of magic and witchcraft date back farther than the "traditional" religions of today. As the above poster noted, this world is materialistic. Many of the forms of Christianity are very materialistic, and many are looking at the other ways of life that attuned people back to nature and Mother Earth.
