There are some people who may be able to do that without any machines. Wolf Messing is a strong candidate that comes to mind.

I did a little research on Wolf Messing, because I haven't heard the name before, and I thinks it's an astounding story. Telekineses isn't researched much, which I think is a big mistake. We still don't know, what our brain is capable of doing 100% and maybe one part is in charge of telepathy and brain-to-brain communication.

Wolf Messing is possibly a true psychic with an extraordinary gift. He worked for Joseph Stalin, a man who did not believe in such things and was quick to send psychics and soothsayers to the gulag. There is a book on his story called "Wolf Messing: The True Story of Russia's Greatest Psychic" by Tatiana Lungin (1989).

I encourage you to find a copy at a library.
