honestly, if it would have been big enough to see, then we would be in trouble. c'mon, lets not jump conclusions, it was a first and we still haven't totally researched what we have done so far. lets take it slow guys, we dont need to start armageddon, yet, be patient we have 2yrs and a couple months left to destroy ourselves.

I suppose it could be a disguise (to crash the surveyor and booster) simply to remove potential space debris???

The visuals were a dud, but the mission was successful. I guess dark moon dust doesn't show up well. The plume itself wasn't very big, so many amateur astronomers were disappointed Friday.
