Are we overestimating the devil?
Stories of occults, drilling of a hole right into hell, mass possessions, conspiracies -- aren't these sensationalized? I happen to believe that we're giving the devil far more credit than is due. These stories may only have a pinch of truth in them..or none at all. It will do us a world of good if we check out these news thoroughly first. These are myths, selfishly promoted by the devil himself. I know who I serve and that is the one true God. My faith will not be swayed by these fallacies and worldly wisdom.

That's what media does --- sensationalize every little bit of detail that's odd in this world. It is the work of the devil to instill fear in helpless humans who don't know better than to believe in his powers, limited as they are.

Yes, I do think that is the case. His powers are not at par with God, far from it. Some people cling to superstition and myth surrounding the devil. That he is often called the "god of this world" is sad. Let us not forget that God cast him down. The devil is not omnipresent nor is he omnipotent.

We are giving the "devil" more credit then he deserves.I think that the "devil" is just another way to prevent man king from doing bad things so that the world would be a better place for all.

Satan loves to see all the people afraid of hm. But as long as you don`t let him rule you and you have faith in God satan can`t touch you. And then he will try harder so you have to have an even stronger faith.

I believe the devil is real and if anything we are underestimating him in my opinion. I believe we will all have to account for our actions one day and if we can't say we know the Lord we will be getting to know the devil very well! Sorry to sound preachy, just throwing out my view on the subject!

Giving credit to the devil goes upon the assumption that the devil is real. I think the only thing I can say for certain is real is the fact that the media/government likes to create fear within people so they are more likely to follow the leaders around like sheep and follow laws.

All these stories are myths. The hole to hell for example was probably a hole into a lava pool or something like that.

The media likes to keep things stirred up and will do whatever it takes to do that no matter what it is about.
