Earth's Aurora As Seen from the International Space Station



For those who've never seen Earth's aurora before, here's how it looks from the International Space Station, as captured by Japanese astronaut Soichi Noguchi. Why is the picture so blurry / grainy? It was snapped while going 28,000km/h through the aurora.
