I realize that everyone is probably in celebration of the "news" about Bin Laden... but I feel like I need to raise my voice. In the American justice system everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty. That guilt must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt. With all of the controversy surrounding 9/11, and readers of this site - you should know what I'm talking about, can we honestly say that we believe Bin Laden to be responsible for 9/11 without any reasonable doubts?
Now don't get me wrong, I don't support the terrorists and 9/11 was a tragedy. But if 9/11 was an inside job (I've read statistics ranging from 25-50% of Americans believe it was) then the U.S. government fabricated their own scapegoat and murdered him (let's assume this to be true at this point). There's no good way to ask this question without sounding unpatriotic, but I still want to ask it nonetheless. If you were presented indisputable evidence that the Bush administration orchestrated 9/11, would you support the same fate of those involved? If you haven't watched the September Clues video, I recommend you watch it first and then think about what I've written here. SeptemberClues.info | The Central Role of the News Media on 9/11 |

Its a little difficult this one. Now, whilst i see your point and agree with you wholeheartedly, theres a couple of things that make this unique.
1. Although i didnt see it myself, didnt bin laden actually claim responsibility, not just for 9/11 but for numerous terrorist attacks throughout the world. 2. As far as has been reported , he was given numerous oppurtunities to surrender before deciding to go out in a blaze of glory (if you can call using your wife as a shield glory). My leaning to this is that the powers that be would have preferred to try a terrorist than create a martyr, so not sure about the "silence him" theory thats bound to surface. Not impressed myself. I have a few questions:
1. innocent until proven guilty? whats with the assassinations all over the world without even thought of trial? this ain't right as allows severe abuse of power.. how can they do this? 2. Did he exist? Was he still alive? Is he still alive? Is this a media symbol for the war effort story? 3. They made him immortal -- front page of all western news papers -- everyone is thinking about him, so how will the idea of this man die? 4. Chasing him for 10 years created many, many, many more people with his views -- most likely more extreme. What was even gained from all this? The military industry has taken control here, I can't believe this is the front page of the paper -- even non US papers |

Osama bin Laden’s death was announced exactly eight years after George W Bush made his now infamous ‘Mission Accomplished’ announcement. Even spookier, it happened 66 years and 6 hours after the world learned about the death of Hitler. That’s 666.

Unfortunately, Obama is going to set off the conspiracy theorists (about Bin Laden still being alive and in CIA payroll) by not releasing photographic/video evidence. Dumping the corpse overboard, while satisfying local traditions and avoiding a shrine, has removed opportunities to examine the cadaver.
