Do you think global warming is a REAL threat or just more government scare tactics?

To be true I will say that I also find them scare tactics. This issue has been so hyped that sometimes one feels that there is no need for so much of hue and cry.You see there are proper departments set up for this kind of study and those guys now to show their importance come up with a new theory every day.God forbid threat is there but not larger than life.May be I wrong, but this thought is there in back of my mind.

I think Global Warming is true because Yes the Earth is heating up but it is exagerated to much. The world is going to raise the temperature by 2 degrees centergrade I can't see it doing that much damage other than making me have a better summer in England.

I think Global Warming is a true concern. There are many factors that are contributing to it. But I do not think we will see too many affects from it but our grandkids will, so that is enough to make me think about it.

i dont thinkk this is a cooked up conspiracy. i am witnessing the effects of gglobal warming first hand. i live in the united kingdom and our climate is changing, it is really changing. we are getting a tropical climate. much more heat much more rain than ever before. this is not just this year this has been getting worse that i can witness for the past 4-5 years. fist our winters were milder then our summers were warmer now this summer and lastsummer torrential rain all the time causing major floods.
this is because of the green house effect. more heat more water evaportaion more. more "something else" (forgive my ignorance). then more rain. and with constantly rising temperatures. this is no conspiracy. this reality. |

Global warming is for real. Emission of greenhouse gases from here, there and everywhere, is indeed impacting the temperature of the environment like never before. And we are much more TV addicts and Internet addicts than nature addicts, that's why we tend to sit smug in the belief that there's no real threat to the ecosystem.

I think most experts believe that global warming is real and there are dangers to it if allowed to continue indefinitely. Other than this general consenus, the details and extent are in great dispute.

I do think that Global Warming is real...but I do think that it's blown way out of proportion. I know that the earth is heating up slowly but I don't know if it's heating up at the rate that they think it is.

Global warming is definitely a real occurrence, and it has been brought up by scientists as early as the 1920s. It's a shame how mankind has wantonly destroyed our forests and pumped up noxious gases into the air. The ice shelfs are disappearing and weather around the world is getting more and more erratic. Sigh...
