Many Companies Downsizing.

It seems many companies are downsizing is yours going through that. Bankrupt companies seem to be happening more often as well.

Yep, my company belongs there. From a workforce of 3,000 staff, it has only 500 staffs currently. I just pray that it won't close down. If not, I would have to find a job.

Ya companies are having a hard time making enough money to make profit and still pay their employees, economy is shit right now

Downsizing is always a factor when the ecomomy is not good. The problem is when things begin to pick back up, companies do not hire back as many people as they laid off.

I work for a very small company. We are heavily effected by the mortgage crisis, but we were able to downsize that department through attrition rather than let anyone go, so that was nice.

ya that is always a decent solution if your company is able to do it
