It seems that UFOs and the paranormal are the new religion in some cases. People want extraterrestrials to come down and solve all our problems, or "save" us, the same as Christianity.
While I believe the theory that aliens have visited us, I would like to see proof of it. There is a lot of evidence, but no smoking gun. |

Here's the problem with lumping some things in with the supernatural: UFO's have been seen at least since the 40's, maybe much earlier if some of the interpretations in ancient texts are correct as well.
Ghosts are becoming more and more accessible, thanks to shows like Ghost Hunters and the like. You do see some encounters from time to time, like a sound guy inexplicably being thrown to the ground (literally picked up and thrown a few feet). God is unseen and unknown. There's little or no interaction with God, as we currently think of him. I personally have different thoughts, but won't expound on them here. |

Isn't that the same thing?? If readers recall the translations of ancient texts revealed that they were ALWAYS referring to aliens! God hasn't been replaced, only the understanding of what God is has really changed for us. His name has changed throughout history, and the perception of God along with it. I don't believe than anyone ever really doesn't believe in a supreme creation, they just adjust the way they understand it based on what we know about it, utilizing both our intellect with the facts, and our ignorance of the truth, and somewhere in between is the manifestation we call God.

That means Scientology doesn't count, basically.

I still take the position that Scientology is not nor ever was a religion, therefore it's the only one that shouldn't count.

My friend thinks that einstien was an alien sent from outer space to help humans with evolution. I support this theory as einstien was and still is the smartest man that was alive. I also think Da Vinci was an alien sent to help us aswell becuase he was a perfectionist at everything during his time: Art, music, inventing stuff, science etc.

You'd have to think Newton the same way, given that he - as Neil deGrasse Tyson so eloquently says - practically invented calculus on a dare. The only problem was that he had a few errors and just left the strange issue of the unstable orbits to our Creator. If I'm not mistaken, Laplace corrected him.
