...But who else things there might be an assassination attempt at the inauguration. I myself am an Obama supporter and is just dandy with a black president, but there are a lot of people out there who can't accept that.

The inauguration will have so much security it will be virtually impossible to assassinate him then. Add to it the absurd amount of supporters who will be there and would alert somebody as soon as such a person or persons were spotted.

oh of course security up to the teeth, but i mean if there would be attempt or at the least case a plan to. I doubt there will be any chance of it succeeding

Nah, I can't see that happening. It's too close to the situation with Martin Luther King and racists (the predominant group out to get Obama) have the Secret Service's attention at the moment, as the foiled plots throughout the elections demonstrated.

That's a remote possibility in my opinion. The sniper in question has got to be one the best marksman around, and therefore makes it unlikely that an average joe, who's practice comes from killing deer from a distance of about 500 meters away (if that?), can pull off a shot from 2.5 kms away.

When Obama spoke on election night, he was surrounded by a strong plexiglass like shield. It was not noticeable until the camera got real close. I am sure they will use the same type of protection at the Inauguration.
