Even on Wikipedia there are accounts earlier than 1933, one apparently in 565AD.
On lochness.com a sighting of 1882 and 1916. So maybe this Italian guy embellished bits and bobs, Like the corn circle fakers.

There have been reports before that date. I do hope they one day find out if a creature does or ever did live in Loch Ness.

The show Monster Quest did not turn up anything. A lot of the alleged "bodies" found deep in the lake turned out to be clay deposits. I guess it is looking like Nessie is a folklore or myth more and more every day.
They will continue the search, but I would not hold my breath that they will find anything. |
