I'm sorry, but a citizen is a citizen and they are entitled to the pottential right to public office.
If they are fully paid members of society and tick all the boxes for admittance to public service, then it is prejudice to attempt to debarr them. It is the role of the electorate not to admit what they percieve as 'undesirables'.

It might have started as a joke, but they have unwittingly touched on a point!
What film was it that ran the slogan "Vote for none of the above"?

Sen Vitter's seat is considered quite safe. His only worry would be a challenge by another conservative, but that is not likely as Sen Vitter would win in a run-off.
I do like it when C-Span shows the whoremonger when he talks about morality. I guess being an adulterer is OK by the family values standards of the Republican Party. |
