seems it disintegrated before it hits the ground anyway, probably just space junk, that stuff falls to earth all the time but breaks up before it hits anything.

It's either a piece from the satellites, which is entirely possible, or it is a meteor/meteorite. I'd normally opt for my standard "house-sized chunks of ice that regularly falls into the atmosphere", but water doesn't produce fire for some reason.

It does look like a bolide or other type of meteor. They are saying it is not part of the satellites that collided recently.
