The Happiness Institute has been experimenting with a pill which seems to effectively block bad memories from being remade in the brain.

Saw this story and I was discussing it with one of my friends, he said "its so cool now soldiers that come back from the war can avoid PTSD"

And i thought holy shit, talk about making humans blank slates with no human identity... With out our memories and life experiences, the who are we?!

They already present the solution to a problem that is more like a learning disability, and they still say "Here, take the drug!". Yeah, shellshock is pretty hard on the mind, but does it really require drugs to get over it?

The pain helps to also identify us. We grow from our pain and mistakes. While therapy may take a long time for our soldiers to deal with their PTSS, it is better than the alternative of wiping out who they are.

The thought of memory wipes is truly terrifying.

Kinda reminds me off "I AM OMEGA" or "THE OMEGA MAN" or even "I AM LEGEND" start panning out drugs that erase memory and the side affects turn us into mindless zombies or, rage infected populous... I can see that.
