Will somethin happen in 2012?

Well, I'm asking you. Will there happen something in 2012? Will the earth face dooms day? Will Planet X or Nibiru or whatever destroy our earth? ETC.
In my opinion, I don't think there will happen anything. But I'm asking you!

So. Let's investigate the 2012 issue

who knows, I doubt it tho, if there was some real evidence more people would be freaking out. give me a video with legit evidence, give me a video of an alien, how about a spacecraft up close, HOW ABOUT SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I disagree with the notion of a rogue planet, with an orbit that forces "eccentric" to be an understatement, that will destroy Earth. The laws of physics don't allow that and even a battery powered planet, as some like to think it to be, must obey them. If anything, the entire solar system is warming up so we can expect some more hot summers and mild winters, even though scientists are making a case that the Earth wants to enter an ice age. 2012 is astrologically important due to it's arrangement with the stars, center of the galaxy, sun and probably other things I don't remember; and it could conceivably have an effect on our consciousness, as so many other things are known to do so. Plus there's the rumor of aliens contacting us then.

If there was a rogue planet as Zacharia Sitchin suggests in his books, it would be visible to amateur astronomers by now. The planet he described is not due until 2600AD at the earliest, although he may have altered the date in his later books. (I have only read his earlier books.)

The Mayan calendar would have started over, ushering a new era or "world". That probably had more spiritual meanings for them than the usual destruction of the world ideas that we have. The Nostradamus book found about 2012 has been proven to be a fake (not written by Nostradamus or his son). A lot of the Native American tribes did not have 2012 as their end dates as many sites lead us to believe.

Area 51, I say enjoy your young life and don't worry too much about end of world scenarios. The dates picked come and go, and nothing much happens. While it is good to have an emergency kit inside ones home (medical supplies, canned food and water, non-battery powered flashlights and candles, etc) in case of a tornado or other bad weather, it should not make one be afraid to leave the house.

Let's start looking towards science and pole reversal... or other scientific possibilities, ok? I say this whole forum works together on figuring that out, because as far as I'm concerned... that is one of the most likely possibilities.

Magnetic pole reversal is a fact and is happening now. There was an episode on PBS science show "Nova" about it. It will not affect us or any life form, and some of our modern technology may need to be re-calibrated. Magnetic pole reversal happens in cycles, every several hundred thousand years.

Indeed, there are fringe groups out there saying that the future is less bleak than everyone thinks, but it's still quite avoidable. Things like nuclear war and such.
