Most of us know about the Jewish holocaust, the mass genocide of approximately 6 million Jews. I would like to know if American history books contain information about the 90 million Native Americans that were slaughtered using many different methods, including, deliberately infecting them with diseases such as small pox. Do they teach you this at school?

I insisted we learned about the trail of tears. The Indian children that were also taken from their familys, forced to dress as white people and take on white names. They would be punished if they spoke in theire native language too. My ancestors left the Massachusetts area and whent to Canada just before the round up for the trail of tears, same thing on my mom's side from Poland. They came to America just before the Haulicost. Guess both sides are good at running just befor the shit hits the fan. If you all see me head off to another country, best follow lol.

The Trail of Tears and many other incidents are shameful to the American past. There are many red states that will gloss over the facts.
However, I think we should always take into consideration it was a different time with different values. Many thought Natives were savages and blacks were inferior. I am not saying that was right thinking, but that was the way it was back then. The subject needs to be addressed and history should be learned so it is not repeated. |

But a lot of that has been repeated in some way or another. Homosexual rights, genoside in other countries and even still in America there are cases of it still. I would like to belive himans can learn from their mistakes but so far they have proven they are doomed to repeat. Would be nice if there was hope.

lmao. Yes it was the first imagrents who cause a lot of damage. After all we have Columbus day, not Leaf Arrikson day lmao. I don't get that one actually, why Columbis and not Arrikson? However it's spelled.
I have an issue with all of humanity, not just Americans.

"feed me seymore! feed me all night along!!"- little shop of horrors. Oh, what were we talking about again? never mind im just going to go eat some soft taco's. i bet "alien"would taste out of this world
