Something to carefully consider
It is something that has come to my full attention lately. It would seem to me that the institutions of religion, government, military, sports, and corporations have converged in joint interests. Religion and government have melded their power together and have become a formidable beast to contend with, while corporations have used their financial leverage to lean matters into their favor. The military has been used extensively to secure and expand the empire while corporations feast upon the money making scheme, which newly evangelized military officials enjoy too (they love themselves some dead non-Christians). Where do sports fit into all of this? It's a ruse to deflect attention from the realities in life, much like the Colosseum was.
It may be a simple observation for some, but what is it that threatens them? To know that there is a means to create limitless energy is to render entire industries obsolete. To know what fluoride does to you means that control is loosened as the thinking population expands and introduces chaos to your system of control. To have a free, unregulated Internet means that anybody can learn anything in minutes, hours, or days. In short, the threat is novelty. With novelty, we have the opportunity to experience more freedom and nothing can be more novel for the human race at this point in evolution than by being able to cope and solve the existential crisis that comes from feeling and being separate from nature.
