Default Monster Quest on Ogopogo monster

The show follows the same format every time with no real evidence of the creature at the end. The best part of this episode was the revealing of never seen before pictures of the lake monster in Ogopogo. While the lake is deep enough for a large unknown creature and there are plenty of fish to feed it, I do wonder if a creature is down there.

The photograph that was revealed did look like a large fish jumping out of water. I could not see the neck of the alleged creature in the image. It was not strong or clear enough to really tell what it was. One of these days, a real clear picture of a sea monster will be taken. If they can take clear pictures of whales surfacing, the same should be possible of sea monsters.

I hope more of these shows can be a little more conclusive, but they still are entertaining to watch.

Default Monster Shows...

The problem with these sorts of shows I have always found... and also ghost hunter shows, is they always close with a sort of...

"It is for you to decide..." statement.

And how come with modern technology, and basically EVERYONE having a phone which can film at 5 mega pixel clear image, ghosts, ufo's, bigfoot and monster sightings always look like they were filmed on some 1995 webcam?

I think part of the reason is the people are caught off guard. I do find the quality is usually bad, but it is hard to blame the people.

The shows want people to tune in every week, so they tantalize with promises of something new to discover. They usually deliver with a new eyewitness or a photograph, but it never is a smoking gun type item. I am waiting for a good specimen with DNA that is usable in one of these cases.

Fair call. But what about the so called "plesiosaur" carcass that was hauled in by the japanese fishing trawler? Why didn't anyone ever take tissue samples? And if they did, what were the results?

I think that carcass turned out to be a shark (I will have to look up the source on that one, but I will stick to decayed shark). Many decaying fish look like sea monsters, just like the little fish did in Lake Ogopogo.

It seems all the mysteries that fascinated me as a child are slowly being proven false...

That is what happens when we grow up, I guess. There have been many mysteries solved since I was quite young, including the mystery of Anastasia. They finally found the bodies of the Russian royal family and confirmed she was killed among them.

Still, there are many more mysteries out there that will not be solved any time soon, like the case of Lizzie Borden or the Roswell crash.
