MQ had an episode on the supposedly extinct Tasmanian Tiger. It was an enjoyable episode, but it was just like the other episodes of the show: expedition finds nothing, eyewitness accounts are good, and DNA tests fall short.
The most interesting part of the show was a short segment on the possibility of cloning the thylacine with the help of Tasmanian Devil DNA. I wish they would of spent more time on this, as there are many animals brought to extinction with the help of humans. It would be interesting to clone and bring back animals we were responsible for getting rid of. The main scientist on the project stated it is not an if, but a when, when it comes to cloning the Tigers. The scenery of Tasmania is breathtaking, and I would love to visit the area.
