Monster Quest Mokele-mbembe

Monster Quest sent an expedition to Africa searching for the elusive Mokele-Mbembe, the dinosaur type creature that allegedly lives there. The show was typical, with some interesting eyewitness accounts and a few sonar echoes that looked strange. The footprints found by a high school science teacher were not made by the dinosaur in question according to a paleontologist.

The sonar echoes could be anything from crocodiles to branches in the muddy river. The paleontologist does make a good argument against the creature, stating their would have to be a large number in order to survive (several hundred). The size of the creatures indicate they should have been discovered by now.

While interesting to watch, anyone who is looking for proof of these creatures should look elsewhere.
