It was a rubber suit with animal entrails placed on top of the frozen suit. What a letdown. I was so psyched up that all my sensibilities were finally going to get thrown out the window...no such luck however. Another attempt to unnecessarily rile up the audience.

This one really bummed me out. Not that I was overly optimistic but I still had the "what if...."? question running through my head and was thinking it would be so cool to finally say that "Yes, Bigfoot does exist". My 7 year old son was bummed too

Yeah, it was a disappointment. I guess what got so many people to believe these guys is their boldness - no one thought it would be such a blatant lie.

At first I did think this case was a hoax. But when the boys from Georgia actually appeared at the news conference, I thought they either had the biggest balls in the world or there was something to what they were saying. On ATS, I was attacked for defending these guys after that appearance. It was interesting because the DNA tests did not prove an unknown creature, and the body was not there. The Georgia boys were good at lying, and showed they were sincere. Then the hoax blew up in their faces, and they were the ones to lose jobs etc.
This just shows that many people in the UFO community may be sincere, but they can still blow smoke up our asses. I now want other collaboration or some other kind of evidence when I hear stories. This should be the lesson all researchers of the crypto or paranormal should start doing. |

Tom Biscardi, who had a bad reputation to begin with, now has gone to the negative numbers. It is unfortunate that the Georgia boys went along with him, and they are the only ones to pay. Biscardi should at least be tarred and feathered, as he has done this before and even made money on the scam.
Real research on Bigfoot and other cryptozoology subjects (along with UFOs and other fringes sciences) took a beating that it may never fully recover from. |
