![]() That would be the Loch Ness Monster to some but, to me, it's Nessie! I've been visiting Loch Ness since I was 1 year old. I am yet to see my good friend Nessie. I don't even think she lives there these days. Question is, did she ever live there? Is there such a thing as the Loch Ness monster that exists outside of the endless gift shops in Scotland that sell fluffy Nessies and Nessie stickers? ![]() My thoughts........there could be any number of creatures living there that could have been mistaken for Nessie many years ago and well, I guess I'm saying that I think Nessie is a myth, a legend created either by the mind/s of someone wanting to have some fun and making up a story or two or by someone that saw something and didn't hang around long enough to confirm that it was just a big seal (or something un-monster like!). One thing I will add is that Loch Ness is a huge Loch and because of how it joins to the sea, its one Loch that has a lot of waves on it, big waves at times and the last time I was there, it was pretty rough on the Loch. I didnt see a monster but I saw some monster waves - could that be what people have seen in the past? Do you believe in the Loch Ness monster? |

Well, I think something like that should exist, but I doubt it'll exist in Lock Ness. I would reckon such a creature would probably exist in the deep oceans, something below 10,000 feet. Many people have tried to prove the existence of the Loch Ness creature, but so far evidence hasn't been too persuasive.

I've always wanted to go to Loch Ness, and this year I had chance. I didn't see Nessie either, think she moved to another Loch actually lol. Nah, after being there, I can agree with the monster waves comments. And I think that, that's what people have saw. But for now, while people still believe in Nessie, I'll carry on collecting cute Nessies

Hmmm...I think you are most probably right. Maybe it could be something like a gigantic fish being mistaken for something else. Anyway, from the picture that I've seen, it looks convincing to me.

Like above there could be the possibility of A monster living in the deepest parts of the oceans but a Loch really isn't big enought for a Monster.

Yeah i agree with a lot of people here...i was a marine bio major for a few years...and there is so much ocean that we can't get to and there are HUGE creatures that we will never see in our lifetimes. Just like a live giant octopus...those are never seen alive, the only time we see them are when they are dead. So unless something unidentified washes up on shore we will never know what is down there.

![]() The fact that there are other sighthings of creatures similar to the loch ness makes its existence the more probable. You can see this creatures on this gallery. Gallery Link

I would love to believe that Nessie existed. I have been up to the loch myself, but never saw anything, and I have to say I was a teensy bit dissapointed.
