I wonder if anyone has ever run any DNA or other tests on this. I would assume it is a hoax designed to get people to visit the museum.

The human like hand is a giveaway that it is probably a hoax. I would like to see some tests, but the museum probably likes to keep it a mystery and draw in visitors.
It's all about the money.

It sure is one ugly SOB. You would think the museum would make even more money if they had it scientifically tested and it was proven to be a real "whatever".
