They may or may not be existing, but they are supposed to be most pretty creatures. The little kids do get fascinated with the thought and reference of fairies. No other world can describe them better than fairies I suppose.

I don't think that fairies are real...but anytime you hear about fairies they are supposedly gorgeous...I have never heard of ugly fairies

Fairies are real. They're all around us fixing our hair, grooming our fingernails and toenails, chatting up current juicy gossips.
Kidding! ![]() Fairies have been mostly depicted as small creatures with wings like that of dragonflies, ears like that of elves and most of the time they glow.

I got curious with this topic on fairies because plenty of articles have been written on their existence. These winged creatures are said to have existed before men and some have interacted with humans. Well, who doesn't have a camera nowadays? It's possible a photograph of these creatures should come up any day now. That is, if they are real.

The fairies of myth are about the level of elves and dwarfs they however where frightening creatures. Not the Disney happy little sparkle things.
In Ireland a hill surrounded by a ring of stones was known as a Fairy fort. The discovery of one was sure to inspire terror into the local population. All over Ireland and anywhere there is still shreds of the Celts. There are legends of the fey and none of them good. Known for their unrivaled cruelty they where particularly known for kidnapping babies and children and replacing them with a changeling. Though adults where just as prone to the kidnappings none who was taken ever came back. The Fey come hundreds of shapes and forms. With 4 main courts Summer/Winter, Dark and highborn. Each with its own laws. There is also the solitary Fey but the exist on their own and on their own moral codes. |
