Default Reno 911

This show is a spoof of Cops shot at the Reno Sheriff's Department. The actors all do improv, and the results are one of the funniest shows ever. Last nights murder mystery show had me laughing so hard I almost got a hernia.

This is probably what the out takes of the show Cops would look like. Any other fans of this wickedly funny series?

I heard of it, and I really wanna see it. It'll be my first improv experience, I'm excited!
I loved Cops, and if this is even better than Cops, then I'll definitely tune in every other night.

It is on every Wednesday night at 10:30PM ET and is repeated later in the night. The format is just like cops, except these deputies are very inept at what they do. The show is quite hilarious, and has not shown any signs of age.

We've just got Reno 911 over here, I shall give it a whirl.

In the UK we have a show called 'The Inbetweeners' very funny. I also like: My Name is Earl, Father Ted, Red Dwarf and classics like Only Fools and Horses and Fawlty Towers... oh, The IT Crowd is very funny too!

After watching Reno 911, you will never look at a reality show in the same light again.

BTW, Father Ted is one of my favorite shows to come out of the UK. Father Jack rules!

When I first saw Father Ted, I was surprised by the opening shots of the house with the mountains behind it.

Every Summer, my parents took us kids to my granny's farm in Boston (the very north of Co Clare). Every morning, we would wake up to a view of close-by mountains. When I saw Father Ted, I knew these were the same mountains and that the house was close to my gran's.

A couple of years back, I met up with one of my uncles, who droves myself and the missus over to the Father Ted house. (The statue of Mary outside the house is not a prop, it's part of the property and remains there to this day.) I said I'd take a few photos from outside, but he was having nothing of it and opened the main gates and told us to follow him up to the front door (the dogs were barking loudly at this time). Not wishing to disturb the occupants, I took a few photos and left. On the way back, my uncle remnded me that I had been in the house before (which I sort of thought I had) as the previous owners were relatives of mine.

It's between Boston and Cavan in Co Clare, if anyone's making the pilgrimage.

Thank you for sharing that story, Terminator. I guess that makes Father Ted more the special for you.
