Por favor, ayuda.
Thanks...... I have developed the following site. I'm not a web developer by trade, so I know it's technically lacking in lots of areas (I did it for a friend on the cheap [free]). http://www.iscabeachrental.com Sorry if I've pissed anybody off (Truthed), I really am. However, Please could you tell me what you think of this site? If you are in the UK, please tell me if you would consider it for a holliday, or, if you are in Europe (especially Italy) would YOU consider it for a break? But most of all, and I hope I'm not breaking the rules of this site. But if you like what you see (in terms of the apartment), please pass it on! Please! http://www.iscabeachrental.com Thankyou very very much! Tec x ________ Suzuki GT380 Last edited by Tecnos; 01-19-2011 at 05:58 AM. |

Put in some more photos of the area and inside the apartment. People want an idea of what they will be renting, so showing the kitchen and rooms is a great idea. That will also help market the place for a target audience. Some of the photos are a little blurry, so they need to be retaken. Great start for someone who does not do sites for a living.
BTW, many people from the USA (where I'm from) rent apartments when they go to Europe, so make sure to target them. |

Before I begin, how honest would you like me to be..without taking offence? I don't like to beat around the bush..but I'll get right to what I liked and didn't like... I liked the look of the beech..from all angles I didn't like the accommodation, especially the beds/rooms...they were basic and the rooms were so bare and some photos were out of focus...the ooms looked cold, all white with single beds...no thought for those bigger folk..not that im big but gee even I like a bigger comfier bed lol...I saw no storage space neither.....IE bedroom furniture..drawers or a wardrope/closet... what about an iron? Kettle? ya know the usual stuff you would get in a basic room in IE - Days Inn ...I should know I 1st stayed there while I was in Orlando!!! When me and my family like to travel the rooms have to look somewhat decent..a splash of color helps!! What if you have children...any facilities for them?...dinning? My views can be taken as constructive or ignored...I sure hope you dont get annoyed at me The only decent thing was the kitchen...it looks as though more time was spent doing up a decent kitchen area...suitable for self catering...but relaxing and sleeping ect...no comment Take a look at comparisons I chose the Days Inn basic accommodation...Hardly top room at the Hilton or the Plaza!!!but is comfy and affordable! Days Inn Room...Gary and I stayed here our 1st year in Orlando..it was all we could afford ![]() The rooms from your site.. ![]() Bathroom / wash room area - Days Inn basic ![]() The bathroom on your site...Looks clean, very hygienic YES..but im a tall girl and would hate to sit on he loo and see a creepy crawly and make a sudden jump up...OUCH!!! ![]() The rooms on your site are clean..no doubt..butcould use a few touches here and there...appart from that..yea if all was ok I would go no problem..cuz the beeches are fantastic looking For someone such as yourself who isnt into the trade..you have done a decent job..but you can do better and you will do...keep at it Last edited by Geri_Mars; 10-25-2008 at 12:07 PM. I concur completely ragarding the bare accomodation and the state of the pics. Some soft furnishings a few fake flowers here and there, some cussions and throws would work wonders.
My friend has only just bought the place, and he flies back over in the new year, so I have insisted he takes some better pics. I agree fully with what you have suggested, and to be honest, I am better with a camera than whoever took those pics obviously is. Thanks up to now folks. ________ BMW K1200R Last edited by Tecnos; 01-19-2011 at 05:58 AM. |

It is obvious that I am a man as I couldn't care less about the place being decorated. Then again, I am single and would probably be traveling with my sons, and they don't care what the place looks like either. The truth is, many of the wives and girlfriends pick the inns and hotels, which to us men is a pain in the neck.
If there are decorations, it will not affect the men but will draw the women. Measurements and sizes of the rooms and beds are also good, and that is something I should of thought of. added: Remember to make the information women/family oriented. The place will be rented out quicker. Also, where are there decent markets nearby for food (and restaurants for dining out)? Thanks to Geri for pointing out the female slant. If your friend has just bought the place then he may have more ideas that concern the decor...When he gets arround to it, he could brighten it up more...for that I wish him all the best
But imagine if you were going to rent out a home...you would expect it to make you feel more at home If you ever get the chance to post more pics and show how well it is progressing...I for one would be keen to see them One thing I noticed on so many TV shows on home improvements / selling or renting homes...it was important to make the home look more like a show house than look as if it was lived in... My brother buys homes, decorates them and upgrades each home to make them look more presentable and homely for anyone that rents off him...thats how he makes him money... Nearly every single TV presenter that you see doing up peoples homes are done mostly by men...those men take pride in it and do care..TV shows like - Homes on Homes....Extreme makeover...Tommy Walsh on homes...even on changing rooms..it was the men that made it happen and had the best ideas and got the best rsult If I was to hire someone to help upgrade my house and decorate it...it would have to be a man. ..okay now I am sounding sexist!!eeep! ![]() And on the other side, there are women that don't give a toss about the decor...to them its a roof over their heads In my old Job, I designed kitchens and bathrooms...and 6/10 it was the men that wanted it all to look and feel right..a few of those men were fussy and wouldnt be afraid to say so I know that if my dad st foot in a hotel room that was bare and only had a single bed in the far corner, he would turn his heel and walk out fast... I dont know many men would pay good money not to care how it looks or feels...trust me if he has to open his wallet..it better be good and worth it!!

My sister likes to decorate and paint rooms. I don't mind decorations, but I look at the kitchen and the bedrooms for things like size of the beds. I also look for stores and nearby restaurants. I guess it did sound a little sexist of me thinking it was just men who do that. I have traveled with my sons, and we were more interested in what was outside the hotels, and if it had a swimming pool.
As I think of it more, if someone were to rent that apartment for a month or two, they may be looking for that "home" feel. |
