Does third eye exist? A friend of mine told me that she can see what we don't see normally. Does this mean that ghosts or spirits walks among us? what do you think?

I have 4 eyes; I wore glasses. On a serious note, many of us have the heart as our third eye; sometimes we do not need our eyes to see things.

Certain people have the special abilities to see what most people can't. This is especially related to ghosts and the walking souls. They say that animals like dogs also has the third eye ability.

That was my first thought! I wear glasses, I'm all seeing, all knowing! I totally agree about our heart being our third eye. I do believe that we can all see through our third eye, it's just that some of us (including myself) aren't 'tuned in' to our third eye. I don't particularly feel that the 'third eye' is a psychic ability though, it's just something we're all born with but, many never tune in. |

from what i understand the third eye is a region in the brain known as either the pituitary gland or the pineal gland. cant remember which one for definite. the location of this gland is behind the fore head just above and between the eyes. this can be stimulated by types of meditation and is said to lead to visionary expereinces.

Thats very good information but, I think it's just a name given to a part of the brain to assign something as a 'third eye'. A true third eye is a feeling, not a physical attribute, I believe.

Is this something like the sixth sense? I had this initially tagged as common sense but yeah seeing what others don't is like having a third eye or a sixth sense.
...and yes the movie sixth sense was good.

Some people are more perspective than the rest, they are more observant and react faster and may be even grasp the situations better.A person with this kind of attitude which comes naturally can be called person with sixth sense or having a third eye. This is what I feel.

My friend claims to have a third eye too. She claims that she doesn't see ghosts...but more or less shadows and shapes that normal people don't see. She can't see features or anything but she sees everything else.
