Default Boy - 12 Films 'Ghost'

http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...cle2229774.ece

Impressive Video Contained in the article........

A SCHOOLBOY has captured eerie footage of what he claims is a ghost striding towards banisters at his home.

Terrified Reece Pitman, 12, heard whistling — and used his mobile to film the shadowy being.

It came days after his nine-year-old sister complained that someone was mysteriously finishing her jigsaws at night.

The lad showed the amazing footage — which must be seen to be believed — to mum Tonia, 38.

She said: “Reece looked scared witless.

“In the clip a white shadow appears from my bedroom followed by the dark image of a man.

"It crosses the landing and disappears when it reaches the banisters.”

Tonia, of Solihull, Birmingham, said she consulted a psychic who told her the ghost could be friendly.

Sales assistant Tonia said: “I’ve had a tough time recently as my husband left me. I didn’t believe in ghosts — but I’m thinking of the spectre as my guardian angel.”

Julian Banks of the British Paranormal Society said the film was “potentially the best image of a ghost in years”

I was going to saw obvious hoax, but when it moves front of the open doorway, the shadow dosnt act like a normal shadow and move to the nearest thing behind it, it like stays in front of the doorway, if you know what i mean.

I at first thought probable hoax, but it does look quite convincing. The boy's reaction also seems real.

I still think it is possible to be an optical trick, but I will keep an open mind on this one.

Crappy cell phones cameras seem to be the most realistic since most ppl dont walk around 24-7 with HD camcorders...

Default ok

upon further analysis, the camera is moving in the direction of the shadow and light glare. There is and overhead source of light which could be the cause of some kind of lens distortion which could explain the white light just ahead of the shadow, then the dark image could be a chroma response from the camera to follow the white. Watch the area where the 'ghost' disappears, particularly the wall above the railing. Its brightly lit but when the apparition supposedly disappears there it remains dark, even though the camera starts moving. Save the vid and frame by frame it you'll see what I mean. Watch the direction of the image in relation to the cameras slow pan to the right.
Light glare followed by chroma shadowing, real ghost, or interdimensional resonance? I don't know but "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" anyway!

I think it has to be just a trick of the light. Even after he gets scared and pans the camera to the left, a part of the shadow stays on the screen in the upper right corner. As well the over head light source was reflecting off the wall at the beginning. To many unknown factors to say that this was just a stray shadow walking around on its own.

A way to cast a shadow like that would be to hold something close up to the light globe on the ceiling on an angle, it would only take something small and due to the qaulity of the camera which unsurprisingly is poor... i dont think there is anything definitive here.

I dnt understand why camera qaulity is always so poor when ghosts are filmed... even my mobile phone can record perfect footage, it would be hard to find a household without a camera at least able to record 3 times better qaulity than this video...

I have seen this vid a short while back and just love the innocence of it, a hoax I sincerely doubt it, a trick of light maybe, but it sure seems genuine to me.
