Default Ouija Board

I was maybe 10 years when I had a terrifying experience while playing the Ouija board. I was with my older cousins and they've tried it before. I was curious and I joined in. They were asking the spirit about the future, mostly about their crushes and whatnot. I can recall that the session wasn't ended properly and it got the spirit angry. The lights went off and the wind was blowing hard. We tried to get out of the room but we couldn't. The doorknob was jammed. I crept to a corner and waited while the eldest cousin went back to apologize to the spirit. After that, the lights came back and we were able to leave. I'd never ever join one again.

Wow. What an experience you had. I'm not a little bit jealous by the way. I would never want that to happen to me or anyone close to me.

And the way you say it, It's like a movie I've seen a lot of times. Wind blowing hard, Lights turning out, panicking and the like... I'm sorry for you my friend for having such an experience.

I have played with a Ouija board. I think that they are interesting even though I know that they are dangerous to play with because you never know what will come through the board.

I had a roommate who played with an Ouija board every night. It's creepy. She talks about Victor, that's the name of the spirit she conjures, like he's in the room with us. Maybe he was. There was that thickness in the air. Next semester, I switched dorms and stayed as far away from her as possible.

Is there a certain type of person who attracts these bad vibes? The Ouija Board is not a toy. There is that danger of it allowing the entry of bad spirits. News of massacres has always led me to think that there are evil workings that we know nothing about. We point to drug use and psychological disorders so easily without considering the spiritual aspect.

If there is a type who attracts these bad vibes, I can safely say that my roommate was one. She was lonely and she didn't have a family who bothers to greet her on her birthday. She didn't have a home to go to on holidays. I didn't pry on why that was the case. I didn't want to know. Images of a massacred student didn't go too well with me.

I have always been terrified to play the Ouija board ever since my grandmother told me a story about when she was a kid and played with it. apparently they asked a dead relative to come through and they did. They asked her to show a sign and the phone rang. When they got the phone bill it was the dead relatives number. Real story? I guess I will never know, but it sure scared me away from ever trying...

This was actually something I'd wanted to try out but from these stories and other Ouija board stories I've heard, it seems too much like you're disturbing or even angering the dead.

I agree with you on that one, but there's something about having "Milton Bradley" stamped into the plastic "eye" that makes it all so surreal.

When the ouija board is displayed in the toy store, right beside monopoly and boggle, it somehow gives people the wrong idea. I don't plan on "playing" with it. It's best to let dead people stay dead..and out of my house.
