A case where a spirit or demons take control of a person's body.

Have you had any encounters with possession? I remember there were a lot of these back in my early years in school. Our school was right next to a graveyard. Being kids then we were split between believing and not but most of us sure were spooked.

I'm Catholic and I've been taught that demons do take control of a body. I haven't had the misfortune of witnessing one though. Or maybe I didn't know. I have a nagging thought that most of the gruesome murders we see on the news are related to demon possession. We use it crudely but we often ask ourselves what could have "possessed" a human being to do such a thing to another. See? It's right in our words. Take for example, the guy who stabbed and beheaded a co-passenger on the bus. There was no motivation. He wasn't even crazy. He was possessed. (just my opinion)

Musiclover, you've got a point. An acute psychiatric episode may be a case of spirit possession. But how to prove it...that's the thing. There have been too many crimes that are sudden and unprovoked that I'm starting to believe there's an evil spirit lurking among us that is ready to strike your weakness.

Let me veer from the topic a bit. Why is it that ghosts are frequently sighted in the cemetery? Are some souls doomed to have an attachment to their bodies after death? I'm wondering because I thought about writing my will and have that as one of the provisions; that is, whether to be buried or be cremated.

On the contrary, cemeteries could be very meaningful to ghosts if they go there to visit the tombs of their family and/or significant others who may already have gone on to heaven. These ghosts however are still roaming without direction.

Some people don't believe in the existence of evil possession. I have witnesses it several times in my country. Usually it's rampant in school. I believe that science can't back its mysteries.

during the time frame that the greyhound incident took place, in other places in the world, a guy beheaded his gf and drove around town parading with it, a dude came out of the woods with an assault rifle and killed 3 swimmers in a lake, a lady cut a baby out of a woman cos she wanted to steal it, and another dude chopped up his gf, and texted pics of her headless body to his friends..

all these things in a one week period, none seemed to be provoked, kinda makes u think that something was up

kinda felt like the world was crumbling for a few days and these ppl definitely could have been possessed in my opinion, some sick stuff

I too believe that people can be possesed by an evil spirit. I have never wittnessed one and I don`t want too. I don`t watch movies about it either. no way!
