Most of you MUST have heard about the Westboro Baptist Church, but for those who didn't-

The church bases its work around the belief expressed by its best known slogan and the address of its primary website, "God hates fags," and expresses the idea that every tragedy in the world is linked to homosexuality – specifically society's increasing tolerance and acceptance of the "Homosexual Agenda." The group maintains that God hates homosexuals above all other kinds of "sinners" and that homosexuality should be a capital crime.

Ya i use to watch this lady spout her ideas and preach her hate before, I am pretty open minded but this is just pure HATE and EVIL. I feel bad for all Christians when people like this give them a terrible name. Maybe if she actually read the Bible and understood it she would understand that this is totally the opposite of what God tries to teach us. But HEY freedom of speech...

What get's to me is why hasn't anyone done it?

There are millions of good american people that have been killed for LESS!! yet these people who hate America...don't mind living off the US dollars..and they don't look as though they are going to move

I have my fingers crossed that one day, someone will cross that line and kill them. I don't know that anyone would be found guilty of anything worse than manslaughter if they wiped them off the face of the earth.

Fred Phelps and the rest of his twisted and inbred congregation are the faces of the Inquisition. They are the faces of my truest enemy. I wish nothing but pain and misery upon them and their families, and for the Gods to strike them dead.

On the bright side, the courts have found them to be a disturbance to the well-being of the nation, awarding a family in my state something like 10 million dollars, if I remember correctly, for punitive and mostly compensatory damages. I personally cannot listen to him myself, as the content of what he speaks is so vile and unpleasant, it's virtually impossible to listen to his rhetoric without getting extremely upset. I've tried to listen to him once, but only because it was a youtube video in which he claimed John Stewart (of the Daily Show) and Stephen Colbert (of the Stephen Colbert Show) were false prophets... to which I couldn't help but laugh, noting that he sounds like a false prophet himself.

While I absolutely disagree with what that family is doing, I think it is terrible to wish anyone violence or even death. You know about what goes around comes around, it also applies to thoughts.
