America was built upon religion (I'm going way back to the Puritans for this one), and unfortunately racism was a part of that package. It still was by the time the Constitution was written, in which blacks were only 3/5 a person. By 1964, black people had just won back rights that were lost for about 70 years, and now the US is subject to a reactionary movement in politics that is lighting the flames of racism and intolerance not seen since then. I cannot come to any other conclusion than that religion, at least in America, is an agent of control. The majority of the time, when a "religious" person comes to the forefront of the media, the person conveys such unenlightened, impossibly easy to disprove ideas that I cannot begin to express the disbelief I have for what they had just uttered.

I can't wait for Tuesday. No more articles on Sen Obama being the Anti-Christ or others of the sort. There is so much work to be done, I hope people will let the President do his job.

I don't know with this one.... Maybe the participants are being prejudice, in fact I think they probably are. However I'm sure the majority of the subscribers here at Truthed.com are awaiting the arrival of the prophesised and predicted 'Antichrist'.....

It's going to have to be somebody. That is, if it's not a load of old claptrap.

Personally, I think (if he's not the Antichrist) that it's a step forward for fair thinking and tolerance that the US are on the brink of installing their first black president.

It is mostly prejudice against him. People are slandering him left and right, mostly with half-truths, like the claim that he's Kenyan, when in fact his dad is Kenyan. Many say he is Muslim and this is also attributable to his father, not Barack. Like I said before, religion and racism are very tight knit in the US. It's a dirty secret, but it's the truth.
