How do I figure out what the password is to the admin account ?

The computer is an E machines laptop and it was given to me by my tutoring company . Some MSN family thing is blocking me from seeing the graphs i need to see during my tutoring sessions , and I need to take it off.

As a start....try clicking on

Start >> Control Panel >> Security

and check out if there are settings which debar you from accessing all websites.
